Cade Chair

The Cade chair doesn’t look like a chair at all, which is the whole point of its design. It was made by OVO, “a duet of thirtysomething Brazilian designers who aim to produce furniture that are functional but also entertain and stimulate our imagination.” The trick with Cade is that it doesn’t actually become chair-like until you sit in its elastic body and it “takes the print of your body.” The name Cade is as tricky as the chair itself. In Portugese it means “where” but it’s also the abbreviation of “cadeira” which means…chair. Sweet!
